We are now offering free computer classes to the public. During October, classes will start at 6:30 p.m. on Thursdays in Meeting Room 1. Space is limited; first come, first served.
Two local authors, Felecia Spaulding and Carolyn Wilkerson, will hold a book signing at the main library on Saturday, October 4, from 1:30-3:30.
Spaulding wrote Life on Elm Street and Church, A Good Right Man. Wilkerson is the author of Redeemed, a short story of life challenges.
Books will be available for purchase.
Lima/Allen County residents will have an opportunity to speak with a representative from Secretary of State Jon Husted's office on Wednesday, September 24, 12-2 pm, at the main library. The representative will have voter registeration forms and election information available, and will answer questions and distribute information to those interested in learning more about the other functions of the office, such as the business services division and initiative including the Ohio Business Profile and Military Ready-to-Vote program. September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month, and the Lima Public Library Youth Services Department will be celebrating with a fun and interactive game challenge to our young patrons, preschool - 5th grade. Kids collect stamps in their "Library Passport" by completing library-related activities and questions during their library visits in September and using their library cards to check out different kinds of library materials for youth.
