The Market Street entrance to the main Library is closed while we work on removing the concrete pad under the brick archway.  This work will allow us to widen the lanes under the archway, making it easier to drive through as you are dropping off books and/or driving through. 

Please use the High Street entrance to the parking lot while this work is being completed.

The Stingray Way

Our Stingray Way event has been rescheduled! Join us on Saturday, September 30th as the Newport Aquarium brings stingrays to the main library. Learn all about these awesome sea creatures. It's not quite a trip to the beach, but it's pretty close! No need to reserve your spot, just stop by for one of our 2 sessions in the Memorial Book Room.

Summer Reading at LPL

Summer is in full swing, and what better way to celebrate than by grabbing a great book to enjoy! We have excellent events all summer for adults, kids and teens including our Summer Reading Program: 

Kids: Sign up for the Summer Library Club in Youth Services and receive your goody bag. Complete the tasks on the game board and you'll receive a prize. There are also chances to win additional prizes, get more details when you sign up!

Coming Soon: Historic Walking Tour of Downtown Lima

We are proud to announce that through a partnership with Altrusa International, Inc of Lima Ohio, a local service organization, we will have MP3 players with a narrated walking tour of downtown Lima available for check out beginning Saturday, May 13th at 11am. Altrusa developed the tour to highlight Lima's downtown historical buildings, businesses and even local figures. The tour will be available on a continuous basis through the library, which is the tour’s starting and ending location.
