How to Order Obituaries from the Lima Public Library
The Lima Public Library maintains an index of obituaries appearing in the Lima News from 1933 (currently) to the present time. If the obituaries requested are on file in this index, there will be no charge for up to five obituary requests. For obituaries not listed in our index, requests in excess of five, and all other remote inquiries, please see our Remote Research Request Policy page.
Procedure:
Email ref@limalibrary.com with the full name of the deceased, the date the obituary appeared in the Lima News (if known), your full name, and your contact information.
You should receive a reply to your request in a few business days.
It is always possible for the researcher to visit the Lima Public Library in person. Copies on-site are $0.20. You can save the obituary to a flash drive, or send it to your email for free.
Lima Public Library has access to only Lima newspapers. This information may be found online at Rutherford B Hayes Obituary Index.
