Lima Public Library is proud to announce our upcoming building renovation which will modernize the facility and better meet the needs of the community.
The centerpiece of the project will be a 4,000 sq. ft. addition that will address a critical infrastructure need by adding an elevator for better access to all levels of the library. The project will also feature three main floor single use restrooms, a family restroom with a universal changing table, two updated entrances, and additional meeting rooms. The renovation reflects the library’s ongoing commitment to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all patrons.
The renovation project is set to begin the week of May 18th. This will require an alternative entrance and the suspension of lower-level meeting rooms for much of the construction phase. The library plans to remain open during construction. The project was designed by HBM Architects and Charles Construction Services has been awarded the bid and will be completing the renovations.
