The library does carry some tax forms and instruction booklets each year beginning at the end of January through April. The forms, and how many we carry, are determined by the IRS and State Tax Department, we cannot request additional forms or instruction booklets. You can always access tax information at the websites below. The library will happily print one copy of each form for you, any additional copies of that form are charged at $0.20 per page.
The library cannot assist you in preparing your taxes, though we're happy to help you navigate websites to find the forms you need. Below are some free tax assistance programs in our area.
The AARP Foundation Tax Aide program provides free tax preparation for low-to moderate income taxpayers regardless of age. Contact one of the following locations for more information.

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax help to people who generally make $54,000 or less, persons with disabilities and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals.
In addition to VITA, the Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) program offers free tax help for all taxpayers, particularly those who are 60 years of age and older, specializing in questions about pensions and retirement-related issues unique to seniors. The IRS-certified volunteers who provide tax counseling are often retired individuals associated with non-profit organizations that receive grants from the IRS.
